Attention: We are looking to fill the Site Director position at Maison de Naissance maternal and infant health center in Torbeck, Haiti. This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position. The primary requirements are: Haitian heritage; prior health center/hospital management experience in Haiti; fluent English and Haitian Kreyol, conversational French; and an ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in maternal health care with an emphasis on midwifery is preferred. Adaptability to changing circumstances in a challenging environment is critical, and a willingness to travel as conditions permit. January is cervical cancer awareness month!

This is a very preventable disease, and the precursor infection, HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) is easily detected and treated. But the best prevention is the vaccine, which is readily available. Yes, there is an HPV vaccine, which prevents an infection that often leads to cervical cancer. Cervical cancer can and should be eliminated globally.
