We're thrilled to announce that KCOI has been named the #1 hospital in Kansas for Joint Replacement by Healthgrades - a testament to our leadership in orthopedic care. This recognition, along with our Outstanding Patient Experience and Patient Safety Excellence Awards, is based solely on what matters most: PATIENT OUTCOMES.

This incredible honor reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses, and staff. We put patient safety, patient experience, and clinical outcomes FIRST, and we can now state that this is the best place in the state to come for a joint replacement.

Thank you for making KCOI your home for orthopedic care! Never ones to rest on our laurels, we will keep innovating, while delivering the exceptional care and outcomes that we're known for. Cheers!

For this week's provider spotlight, we'd like to introduce you to Dr. Kirk McCullough. Dr. McCullough is a fellowship-trained knee and shoulder Sports Medicine surgeon. He is also dual fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Kansas and completed his residency at Vanderbilt University. His two fellowships were completed at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.

The following pictures are from last week's American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine meeting. Dr. McCullough served as a faculty member. We are fortunate to have Dr. McCullough on staff at KCOI and Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance. He is always learning, staying abreast of innovative, cutting-edge sports medicine procedures, and teaching others.

👋Meet KCOI Anesthesiologist Dr. Michella Stiles!
Dr. Stiles lives by her "3 F's": Family, Friends, and Faith. She credits her supportive husband, Mike, and two daughters, Regan and Cat (recently married!) with her ability to enjoy life and its gifts to the fullest.

Her love languages? 😋Cooking! And music! Family dinners and entertaining make her happiest, and cooking makes Dr. Stiles feel connected to her youth, when she spent time in the kitchen with her younger sister. Ask anyone in the KCOI OR, and they'll tell you that Dr. Stiles LOVES her music. It's a huge part of her life; all types and genres are her jam! She's passed her love of cooking and music on to her kids.🎵

You might also find her sweating it out in a Power Sculpt class. She is fascinated by the mind-body connection, and enjoys exploring how a blend of Eastern and Western mindfulness + medicine benefits us.

Dr. Stiles' incredible energy and passion for life are a huge part of what makes our KCOI team so special.
