Our Bistro has been the center of attention recently! Today, we celebrated National Peach Melba Day with a special Peach Melba Social. Nearly 100 delicious treats were handed out to residents as they stopped by to enjoy this classic dessert. For many of our residents and staff, it was their very first time trying a Peach Melba—and it was a hit! The event was a joyful reminder that you’re never too old to try (and enjoy) something new.

Did you know milkshakes can be good for you?
Our residents were giving their brains a boost as they sipped on delicious milkshakes, socialized with friends, and enjoyed Elvis’s greatest hits! Music and social connection are wonderful for the brain by boosting mood and enhancing cognitive functions like memory and focus—all while enjoying milkshakes inspired by The King himself.

To celebrate Elvis’s birthday, we served up themed milkshakes—from The King’s Favorite (peanut butter, banana, and chocolate) to Can’t Help Falling in Lemon (lemon vanilla)—making it a sweet, music-filled celebration we won’t soon forget.

This week we were treated to some extra-special carolers—our very own Spanish class!
Instructor Gonzalo and our Spanish-learning residents have been hard at work practicing Spanish Christmas songs, and it was such a joy to see (and hear!) their efforts come to life. We are so grateful not only to have our very own Spanish program, but also that they spoil us with wonderful concerts like this.

We celebrated Ugly Sweater Day on Friday with a festive cookie decorating social where residents got creative using edible markers to design their own sweet masterpieces. We saw plenty of colorful, one-of-a-kind designs, and it was such a fun way to enjoy the season together.

And of course, the best part was getting to enjoy the cookies at the end! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this cheerful and creative afternoon. ❤️✨
