We had a wonderful time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Town Village! 🍀

Residents gathered for a festive happy hour featuring themed drinks, plenty of laughter, and great company. One of our talented residents treated us to a special Irish piano performance, putting everyone’s a joyful mood and Irish spirit. And of course, everyone got into the fun by wearing their best green attire!

It was a day full of smiles, music, and memorable moments shared together. We feel so lucky to celebrate with such an amazing community! 💚

✨We laughed, we cried, and by the end we didn’t want the movie to end. There’s something special about getting lost in a great story on the big screen with popcorn and drink in hand.

Sunday Recap!

This week we celebrated National Barbie Day with a showing of Barbie, bringing plenty of laughs and nostalgia. Residents also enjoyed homemade potato chips at our Chip & Dip Social, where everyone sampled chips and dips while visiting with friends.

Our creative side was in full swing as we decorated the community for St. Patrick’s Day and crafted beautiful shamrock rings to get into the spirit of the season. 🍀 Residents also stayed active throughout the community while hunting down our mischievous leprechauns, adding a little extra fun and adventure to the week!

To top it all off, we had a wonderful visit from a local Irish dance school, where residents watched an exciting performance and learned more about the tradition and art of Irish dancing. It was a fantastic way to get everyone excited for our St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!

Keep your eyes open around the community… mischievous leprechauns are hiding! From now through Monday, March 16, residents are invited to join the fun and see if they can spot one of the hidden leprechaun statues around the building.

If you find one, simply bring it to the front desk, fill out a raffle slip, and you’ll be entered into our St. Patrick’s Day raffle drawing. We’ll be drawing winners on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:00 PM during the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner.

Our residents had a wonderful time making their own hamantaschen, thanks to our amazing volunteers who brought all the supplies and guided everyone through the process. On Tuesday, we continued the celebration with all the Purim traditions, laughter, and festive fun!

A heartfelt thank you to Chabad House Center of Kansas City and all of our volunteers for their time and effort in helping make this holiday so meaningful and memorable for our residents. 💜

Combining interactive astronomy with incredible telescopic viewing of the universe, the planetarium offered us an amazing connection to the night sky and beyond. Laying back in bean bag chairs under the 60 foot dome made it an even more unforgettable day. ✨🔭

A Week Filled with Beautiful Music! ✨🎶

Last week our community was truly spoiled with not one, but two wonderful musical performances!

We were delighted to welcome the talented choir group, The Notables, who filled our space with uplifting songs and joyful energy. They had our residents singing along, clapping, and even waving flags toward the end of the performance — it was such a fun and heartwarming sight to see everyone joining in!

Then, last Friday, we were treated to a lovely performance by four incredible musicians from the Kansas City Symphony. Their beautiful music created such a special atmosphere, and our residents thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the performance.

We are so grateful for these talented groups who share their time and gifts with us. Music truly brings people together, and last week was a perfect reminder of that! 💛

Our community took a trip down the Yellow Brick Road last week for our very own Wizard of Oz Community Crawl — and what a magical adventure it was!

Residents ventured along the 1st floor, stopping at different scenes inspired by The Wizard of Oz while following the yellow brick road from start to finish. Each stop featured fun, themed food and drinks that brought a little extra sparkle to the journey. 🍭🍹

From beginning to end, the hallways were filled with laughter, smiles, and so much participation. We were thrilled to see so many residents join in on the fun and truly embrace the spirit of the event.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this such a memorable day. There’s no place like our community! 💛👠
