Our community has been full of Derby spirit! From pulling out festive mah jongg Derby mats to designing and decorating fabulous hats, our residents have fully embraced the fun and tradition of Derby Days. The excitement continued as everyone gathered to cheer on their favorites during our TVL Derby horse racing game!

We had an incredible time last Friday welcoming performer Ashley Cooper back to ! 🎶

The turnout was amazing, and it was so wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the show. Ashley truly brought the energy, entertaining us with a fantastic mix of singing and dancing that took us on a musical journey through the decades.

From classic favorites to lively hits, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We’re so grateful to have had him back with us and can’t wait for his next visit!

Weekly Recap!

What a fun week around the community! Residents enjoyed a great outing to Southside Bar & Grille, wonderful music with Candace on Tuesday, and celebrated our April birthdays together at a festive birthday luncheon on Wednesday!,

Later in the week there was great turn our for circle sing-along and we also treated ourselves to a late but sweet celebration of National Peach Cobbler Day on Friday! Finally, we wrapped up Friday with a presentation and wine tasting focused on Napa Valley! Throughout the week there was plenty of puzzling and games being played throughout the community. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun, we love seeing such great participation each week!

Happy National Librarian Day! 📚

Today we’re proud to highlight one of our wonderful residents, Barbra Rodts, who serves as our librarian here at TVL! Barbra helps care for our resident-run library by organizing donations, checking books in and out, stocking shelves, and making sure everything is ready for fellow residents to enjoy.

Her dedication helps keep our library welcoming, organized, and full of great reads for everyone. Thank you, Barbra, for all the time and care you put into supporting our community—we truly appreciate you!

Sunday Recap!

Residents enjoyed a sweet National Caramel Corn Day social, followed by a Battle of the Brews for National Beer Day. While many liked our local Boulevard Wheat, Yuengling Lager won the final vote!

On Tech Tuesday, residents received help using our community app GoIcon—remember, Lucy or Stephanie in Life Enrichment are always happy to assist with any questions!

We also kept our minds active with a lesson on Article I of the Constitution, a presentation about Meet Me in St. Louis, and two rounds of Friday Brain Games Jeopardy.

Midweek, residents enjoyed a special Passover dinner, music bingo, and we made the most of the beautiful spring weather with music from Ben on the back patio and the return of Walk This Way!

Sunday Recap!

This week we kicked things off with one of our favorite traditions... our Royals Home Opener Watch Party! Residents gathered to cheer on the team, enjoy ballpark favorites, and celebrate together.

On Tuesday, we had a lovely Ladies Luncheon, enjoyed beautiful live clarinet music from Lynn, and shared plenty of laughs at our Topsy Turvy Dinner complete with jokes and breakfast-for-dinner fun to celebrate April Fools’ Day!

Throughout the week, residents stayed active and creative with bowling, water exercise, and our art classes. Friday brought lots of smiles during Brain Games and an engaging presentation about the story of Amelia Earhart.

This weekend wrapped up with a joyful Easter Brunch shared with family and friends. We feel so lucky to have such an incredible community of residents who always show up and make every event special.
