I know Suicide Awareness month is September but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be thinking about it all year long. Many of my friends are hurting right now after another suicide of one of their own and each one is too many!! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! 🖤🖤💙🖤🖤

I see clients who have never examined why they hurt or are experiencing major problems. It might be trauma or stress.

We’ve seen this one before but little reminders never hurt.

We all have difficult days. Even if you don’t want to talk about them, being with someone can be the most helpful. Connections are essential and we are made to need them. Being ultra independent is a trauma response Learning to rely on others his helpful and promotes growth. Make one of your New Years Goals a plan to improve yourself and grow in whatever way it works for you.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."
