Always On Stride Horsemanship

Always On Stride Horsemanship Certified massage therapist for almost 10 years. Learning the biomechanics of how horse moves has helped me to understand what area of the horse needs help.

Horse rider for 45 years. Trainer for almost 40 and riding instructor for over 30 years. Riding Lessons, Groundwork, Training and Massage, English, Western, Flat work, Equitation. I help owners to understand their horses better by studying body language and helping the owner to see and then be able to react to their specific horses personality. I help take the frustration out of 'Why did he/she do that, or react like that?'

I have enjoyed teaching for a long time, that joy is always highlighted when working with eager students, looking to improve themselves and improve their relationship with their horse. Very grateful for the opportunity!

Have you ever heard anyone call a horse lazy or stubborn? It’s usually because they aren’t cooperating or doing what they’re being asked in a timely enough manner. Most of the time it’s because the horses muscles are either tight or they’re sore. Horses can’t use words to tell us what’s wrong with them so they try to use their actions. Massage therapy will get to the root of the problem and enable your horse to become their best version of themselves. I have a couple spots open, and I would love to help your horse perform at their very best.

The progression from one to six is something that takes years to do properly. Too many people are skipping multiple steps and expecting the horse to be able to do these things in 30 to 60 days. Please note that not one of these drawings shows a horse with its chin to its chest or with its nose behind the vertical. Not one.Always On Stride Horsemanship

Temperature changes can cause a little extra stiffness in muscles and joints. Keep your horse moving and feeling their very best with equine massage therapy. Send me a message, let’s get something on the schedule 🙂

Did you know that massage can help to improve a horses posture? When muscle tension is released it allows the body to move and create better posture.

I’m sometimes asked how do you know if a horse needs massage? The best indicator is how much jiggle does your horses muscles have? Healthy muscle has jiggle to it when the horse walks and will have give when you press on it. If the muscle feels hard or if the horse flinches away from pressure, then that muscle is either sore or very tight. Massage can help keep you and your horse enjoying the ride. - Michelle L Arnold - Always On Stride Horsemanship

What changes do you see? Some recent before and after pictures from a clients horse. 1st picture is before the massage, 2nd is right after. 3rd picture is after a 2nd massage and body working session a week later. Horses can hold an incredible amount of tension in their body. When we release this tension, we allow them to use their body as it was meant to be used. I would love to help your horse feel their very best too!
