🌟 Community Food Drive for One of Our Own 🌟

The ongoing government shutdown has created real challenges for many individuals with developmental disabilities. For some, working in the community isn’t an option, and limited Social Security benefits often leave little room for savings — or even basic groceries.

At Lifestyle Housing, we believe in coming together when our neighbors are in need. We’re hosting a Food Drive to support one of the individuals we serve who has been directly affected.

Many individuals with developmental disabilities are very routine-oriented when it comes to food. Trying new foods can be difficult or upsetting — they simply like what they like. ❤️

This individual’s favorite foods include:
🍕 Tostino’s frozen pizzas and pizza rolls
🍗 Chicken nuggets, chicken patties, and meatballs
🥣 Sugary cereals
🍎 Fruit cups, fruit snacks, granola bars
🥔 Individual bags of chips
🍑 Mango or peach tea flavor packets for water

🕓 Donations can be dropped off Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Any excess donations will be shared with other agencies to support their individuals as well.

Sharing a flyer from the Warren County Board of DD about an emergency food drive to help folks who are losing SNAP benefits starting November 1 due to the government shutdown.

While many of our clients receive SNAP and have a little cushion, we do have one who doesn’t have any extra funds or savings. Several others are worried and asking questions about what this means for them.

If you’re able, please consider donating — every bit helps and makes a real difference for those feeling the impact right now. 💙

This week is all about our amazing DSPs.
They truly shine in intimate moments where we can share stories, laugh together, and just be. So this year, we did something a little different.

We had a beautiful charcuterie board made by a sweet friend, complete with chocolate fondue and drinks. We took time to connect, share about ourselves, and grow even closer as a team.

One of the highlights was watching a touching video of our clients sharing stories and expressing their heartfelt thanks to the staff who support them every day.

It was such a meaningful day—full of gratitude, connection, and love. 💙

As a provider agency, we’re grateful for the freedoms we enjoy — freedoms that allow us to serve and support individuals with developmental disabilities in communities across our nation.
