Sermorelin is a prescriptive bioidentical peptide that functions as a growth hormone–releasing hormone analog (GHRH). It encourages the body’s own pituitary gland to produce and regulate GH more naturally, increasing its natural production (not replacing it). David is an advance practice nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who has over 12 years experience in critical care and anesthesia. He has always had an interest in functional medicine and is now accepting patients looking to combine conventional and complimentary care.

Cary Harbrecht became a member of the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce in 1972. He served on the Board of Directors and as Vice President of Membership from 1984-1985. He served on the General Service Committee and was founder and chairman of the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber Golf Tournament. Dr. Harbrecht passed away approximately two weeks prior to the first annual tournament. The Chamber Board passed a resolution, in his memory, to name the tournament “The Dr. Cary Harbrecht Memorial Golf Tournament.”

MEET OUR TEAM!!

Rachel Deffendall, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a native to Lebanon, Tennessee. She is a wife and mom of 3 children.

She graduated from Cumberland University cm laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) in 2003. As a RN, she has prior nursing experience in a multitude of areas, including ER, medical ICU, surgical ICU, cardiovascular ICU, pediatric ER, and cardiac Cath lab and special procedures. She also received certification as a certified emergency nurse (CEN).

She worked as a flight nurse and paramedic with Vanderbilt LifeFlight for nearly 10 years and was an associate instructor with the Emergency Medicine airway/cadaver labs. She led a cadaver course at the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) national conference and was a clinical educator for the Vidacare company on the use of the EZ-IO intraosseous (IO) devices.

In 2014, she graduated the MSN/FNP program at Middle Tennessee State University. For nearly a decade, she worked for The Surgical Clinic as a surgical nurse practitioner with privileges at Summit Medical Center. She managed patients in the clinic as well as the acute care hospital setting, with focuses in surgery, endocrine, wound care and aesthetics. She independently performed in office surgical procedures as well as inpatient bedside biopsies. She has specialized training in endocrinology (functioning as the nurse practitioner for endocrinologist Dr Interlandi) and wound care with certification in hyperbarics.

In 2023 she opened The Beaumont Med Spa. The Beaumont offers an individualized approach to functional medicine, with services focusing on bioidentical hormone replacement, weight loss, IV hydration, peptide therapies, and genetic testing, as well as aesthetics and customized skin care. She is also skilled in Botox, filler, and facial balancing.

She is currently a Sophomore at Lebanon High School. She enjoys volleyball, softball and yearbook. Outside of work and school she enjoys spending time with her friends!

Patient Care Specialist

Jessica is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

For seven years she enjoyed teaching chemistry and elementary science. She brings both her knowledge and a passion for helping others to her role at The Beaumont.

Jessica lives in Lebanon with her husband and their two children. She is an avid sports mom and loves supporting her children in all their activities!
