September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month! Each year, more than one in four Americans aged 65 and older experiences a fall. Yet fewer than half report it to their doctor. Falling once doubles the risk of falling again.

These incidents result in about 3 million emergency department visits and 1 million hospitalizations annually. Falls are also the leading cause of hip fractures and contribute significantly to traumatic brain injuries among older adults.

Our Occupational Therapy Department is passionate about helping our residents feel strong, safe, and capable. With plenty of hands-on experience and a heart for our residents, we work hard to make each session a step toward independence and a better quality of life.

Our Speech Department has more than 20 years of experience and dedication to helping our patients regain their highest quality of life with cognition, verbal expression, and diet levels.
