For Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting women who are helping transform how schools understand and support students impacted by trauma.

Melissa Sadin is an educator, speaker, and advocate for trauma-informed schools. Through her work with educators and organizations, she helps schools better understand how trauma affects learning, behavior, and relationships.

Her work emphasizes building safe, connected, and supportive environments where all students can regulate, learn, and thrive.

Dr. Sadin continues to guide educators in shifting from managing behavior to understanding the experiences behind it.
