☀️ With the summer heat keeping pets indoors more often, you might notice your dog begging for extra snacks! 🐶 Instead of reaching for table scraps, try offering them one of these pet-safe healthy summer treats! 🍌🥕🍉

✅ Just remember:
• Always remove skins, seeds, and cores when needed
• Some foods must be cooked—no seasoning!
• Treats should be given in moderation only

These snacks are a great way to reward your pup for learning tricks or to keep them entertained with a lick pad enrichment session. Enrichment and nutrition can go paw-in-paw! 🐾💚

☀️ Hot weather is here, and that means it’s time to talk about heatstroke in dogs — a serious and potentially life-threatening emergency.

🐾 Dogs can’t cool down like we do, and certain breeds (like short-nosed or thick-coated dogs), older pets, and puppies are especially at risk.

🚨 Know the signs:
• Excessive panting
• Reddened gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Weakness or collapse
• Seizures or even death in severe cases

✅ Prevention is key:
• Walk during cooler hours
• Provide shade and fresh water
• Never leave pets in the car—even for a minute
• Test the pavement with your hand—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws!

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that our beloved Dr. Amy has been honored as this week’s Woman of Wilson by the Wilson Post! 🎉 For 30 years, she’s been the compassionate, dedicated heart and soul of Kinslow Veterinary Clinic—making an incredible difference in the lives of pets and their owners across Lebanon and beyond. 

From early morning appointments to last minute house calls Amy’s unwavering love for animals (and people!) shines through in everything she does. 💖 Her kindness, expertise, and gentle spirit have built the caring culture that defines our clinic—we truly wouldn’t be the same without her.
