🌟 Please join us in celebrating our Star of The Week, James! 🌟
James came to The Waters of Lebanon approximately six months ago for rehabilitation with one goal in mind — to go home. When he first arrived, he was using a wheelchair and described himself as “very weak.” Despite facing several health challenges that required short hospital stays early on, James persevered. He credits The Waters of Lebanon’s medical team for their quick response and compassionate care, helping him overcome each obstacle with confidence. 💪
At first, James admits he felt “depressed” and preferred to stay in his room. But thanks to the encouragement and persistence of our Activities Department, he began to reengage with life around him — and he hasn’t looked back since! His favorite experience so far? Participating in the BCSSI-Boone County Senior Services, Inc. Senior Olympics Opening Ceremonies, where his team proudly won the 2025 Spirit Award (and where, as he says, “Tracy talked me into it!” 😉).
Today, James is walking throughout the building daily — no wheelchair needed — and is determined to return to work. He says The Waters of Lebanon helped him “not give up,” and he credits the incredible rehab team for helping him regain his strength and confidence.
You’ll often find James enjoying the sunshine in our bird-feeding area or laughing with friends in activities. We couldn’t be prouder of his resilience and hard work. Way to go, James! 🎉👏
