🎉🎉 Mary is a success 🎉🎉
About 2 months ago, Mary was diagnosed with colon cancer. She came to us at Life Care of Citrus County about 3 weeks ago after a severe reaction to a chemotherapy treatment. When Mary arrived, she was unable to get herself out of bed due to weakness and muscle loss after a complex hospital stay.

Our Physical and Occupational Therapy team was very diligent and encouraging, getting Mary out of bed and moving. 🎉 Thanks to Therapy and Nutrition partnering for the right combination, Mary was able to regain the strength she needed to celebrate Thanksgiving at home. 🦃

She and her family offer a huge thank you to the Nutrition, Therapy, and Nursing Departments for their care and encouragement, especially Chris and Kylie. 🥰 We wish Mary the best on her continued health journey. ❤️

🐕🐩 Paws for Purpose Dog Show at Life Care of Citrus County 🐾✨

Yesterday we had the absolute best time hosting the Paws For Purpose Dog Show! 🐶💙 With 17 amazing dogs participating, our residents enjoyed every moment—from the adorable dog parade to the sweet meet-and-greet that followed. The joy, smiles, and wagging tails filled our community with so much warmth. We are incredibly grateful to Paws For Purpose for spending the day with us and spreading so much happiness. We hope to welcome them back again soon! 🐕💜

In recognition of National Veterans and Military Families Month, we proudly dedicated our Veterans Wall today—a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. We were honored to recognize our current residents who answered the call to serve. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment continue to inspire us every day.

A special thank you to Senior Helpers - Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties, FL for their generous collaboration and for donating two beautiful plaques commemorating the service of our veterans. 🎃 Pumpkin Decorating Contest Fun! 🎃
Our associastes brought their creativity to life for this year’s Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Each department showed off their artistic side, and our residents had the tough job of voting for their favorite.

👑 The winning pumpkin came from our Therapy Department with their spook-tacular Cruella de Vil design! Thank you to all our teams for participating and spreading Halloween cheer throughout the building — and to our residents for being our very special judges! 🧡🕷️🐾

Our team had an amazing time joining the community for this year’s Trunk or Treat at TGH Crystal River! From creative costumes to candy galore, it was all smiles and Halloween spirit. 🍬✨ A big thank-you to everyone who stopped by our trunk, shared a laugh, and made the night such a treat! 🎃💜
