💕 Love, Laughter & February Celebrations! 💕

Today was full of sweet moments here at Best Care Senior Living! Our residents had a wonderful time working on their Valentine’s Day crafts, creating beautifully decorated Valentine gift bags as we get ready for our upcoming Sweetheart Social 💝

We couldn’t resist dancing a little to “Twist and Shout” 💃🕺—lots of smiles and laughter filled the room!

We were also thrilled to welcome our friends from Caring K9’s Hope and Carol—for a heart-warming visit 🐾❤️

And of course, we celebrated our February birthdays 🎂🎉

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Donna Wood 🌟

This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Donna Wood, a valued member of our Housekeeping Team here at Best Care Senior Living!

Donna has been with Best Care for a couple of years and plays a huge role in keeping our community clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents and staff. She is originally from Lindenhurst, New York, and now calls Hernando home.

Donna is married and is a proud mom to a daughter who is currently in nursing school—a true reflection of the caring heart that runs in her family. Over the years, Donna has worn many hats, having worked as a cashier, custodial engineer, and even running her own cleaning business.

When she’s not hard at work, Donna loves playing games to keep her mind active—Candy Crush and Mahjong are two of her favorites! She enjoys all kinds of music, from the oldies to the new hits (just not rap 😉), and she has a sweet spot for Mint Oreos.

Her favorite quote, “Sharing is caring,” truly reflects who she is. Donna is always willing to step in and help her coworkers, and she has a genuine love for our residents that shines through every day.

Thank you, Donna, for your dedication, kindness, and the care you bring to Best Care Senior Living. We are so thankful to have you as part of our family! 💙

💍 Celebrating 58 Years of Love – Happy Anniversary! 💍

Today we are thrilled to give a huge shout-out to Mr. & Mrs. Tony Vicente, who are celebrating their 58th Wedding Anniversary! ❤️

Their love story began all those years ago when Noreen was out at a sandwich shop with her friend and Tony was out with his friends. A simple question—“Would you girls like to go for a ride?”—turned into a lifetime of love. Just six months later, Noreen and Tony were married, beginning a beautiful journey together.

Together they raised four wonderful children and are now the proud grandparents of four beautiful grandchildren, who truly are their pride and joy. Family means everything to them, and they cherish every moment spent together.

Even after 58 years, their love continues to shine. Every time Mrs. Vicente walks into the room to visit Mr. Vicente, his face lights up with pure love and admiration—a moment that is truly inspiring to witness. Mr. Vicente is a very proud husband and father, always doting on his wife and children, eager for everyone to meet them and share in the joy and pride he feels for his family.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Vicente on 58 amazing years of marriage, love, devotion, and family. Your story reminds us all that true love only grows stronger with time. 💕

Blueberry Pancake Day Today!!!

🍫🎂 Tuesday, January 27th was a sweet one at Best Care Senior Living! 🎂🍫

We celebrated National Chocolate Cake Day the best way possible — with delicious cake and lots of smiles! Our residents also enjoyed our weekly Catholic Church service, followed by a fun and friendly game of Bingo with plenty of laughs and prizes. The bingo winners won beautiful Valentines Day baskets filled with chocolate and Valentines decorations for their rooms! Even those who didnt win walked away with sweet treats!!

It was a day filled with fellowship, faith, fun, and a little chocolate indulgence — just the way we like it! 💕

We at Best Care Senior Living would like to give a giant shout out to our wonderful Activities Director Jackie Rooks to celebrate Activities Week. Jackie thank you so much for all you do for our residents and staff.

Jackie brings heart, creativity, and positive energy to our community every day. She has worked in several roles within the organization, gaining valuable experience along the way, and now leads activities with a true passion for helping residents stay engaged, active, and smiling. Whether she’s planning events, encouraging participation, or simply brightening someone’s day, Jackie makes everything more fun and meaningful. 🎨🎶

Born in Las Vegas and raised in Arkansas by her grandmother Betty, Jackie learned early the importance of hard work, compassion, and cooking from scratch — talents she still loves and excels at today. She’s also a talented basketball player who enjoys staying active. Jackie attended nursing school at the Hazleton Area Career Center in Pennsylvania, where she met her partner James. Together they share a 13-year-old son, Ethan. We’re grateful to have Jackie on our team and appreciate the joy and dedication she brings to our residents every day 💙
