Ever laughed, sneezed, or jumped and leaked a little?

Your pelvic floor works hard to support your bladder and help you stay in control. When it’s weak, tight, or not coordinating properly, everyday pressure — like sneezing, running, or lifting — can lead to leaks.

The good news? You don’t have to live with them. With the right guidance, breathing, posture, and core support, you can regain control and confidence.

✨ You’re not broken — your body is just asking for a little help.

Why does the pelvic floor matter? Because it’s working quietly behind the scenes every single day 💪👇

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles at the base of your pelvis — kind of like a hammock — that plays a vital role in how your body functions:

1️⃣ Supports your organs: It literally holds up your bladder, uterus, and re**um, keeping them in the right place.
2️⃣ Controls bowel and bladder: These muscles contract and relax so you can “go” when you need to — and hold it when you don’t.
3️⃣ Stabilizes your core: The pelvic floor works together with your deep abs, diaphragm, and back muscles to keep your core strong and balanced.
4️⃣ Aids in sexual function: Healthy coordination helps with arousal, sensation, and comfort during intimacy.
5️⃣ Manages pressure: Every time you breathe, cough, laugh, or lift something, your pelvic floor helps regulate pressure through your abdomen and spine.

When this system is weak, tight, or not working in sync, you might experience leaks, pain, prolapse, or instability — but pelvic floor therapy can help you restore control and confidence.

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is more common than you think — and it’s not something you just have to “live with.”

✨ Why does prolapse happen?

Pregnancy + childbirth

Hormonal changes (like menopause)

Heavy lifting or high-impact activity

Chronic coughing or constipation

Natural changes with aging

✨ Common symptoms:

Pelvic pressure or heaviness

A bulge you can see or feel

Trouble emptying the bladder or bowels

Discomfort with standing, exercise, or intimacy

✨ The good news?
Pelvic floor physical therapy can help strengthen and support the muscles, improve symptoms, and give you strategies to move with confidence. 💪

You’re not alone — and help is out there.

3 Physio Ball Core + Pelvic Floor Moves 💪🏽✨
These exercises focus on building deep core and pelvic floor coordination — and it all starts with the breath.

✅ Glute Bridge
✅ Dead Bug
✅ Seated March

✨ Why breathwork matters:
Your diaphragm, deep core, and pelvic floor work together like a team. Coordinating your breath helps you:
🔹 Engage your core without gripping
🔹 Support your pelvic floor without bearing down
🔹 Move with better control and stability

These are especially helpful if you’re managing:
🔸 Urinary leakage
🔸 Diastasis recti
🔸 Prolapse
🔸 Low back or hip pain
🔸 Postpartum recovery

🎯 Try exhaling on effort — like when lifting your hips or lowering a leg — to naturally activate your deep support system.

✨ Pelvic Floor Meets Mobility ✨
These 4 moves support pelvic floor function by promoting hip and spine mobility — a key part of optimal core and pelvic health.

1️⃣ Lunge to Half Split – opens the hip flexors and hamstrings, helping reduce tension that can impact pelvic alignment
2️⃣ Open Books – supports thoracic mobility for better breath mechanics and core coordination
3️⃣ Child’s Pose – encourages diaphragmatic breathing and pelvic floor relaxation
4️⃣ Pigeon Pose – gently targets deep hip muscles, including those that can influence pelvic tension

🔍 Mobility and breath are essential partners in pelvic floor rehab and performance. Let movement support your whole core.

⚠️ As always, consult with a skilled pelvic health professional to determine if these exercises are appropriate for your body and stage of recovery.
