Ohhh ginger! Ginger is loaded with you guessed it antioxidants. It has powerful medicinal properties. It not only helps fight viral and fungal infections but is used to treat nausea and inflammation. Itโs been proven to help lower cholesterol and improve blood sugar.
Cinnamon contains a variety of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic and antimicrobial properties. Itโs also shown to support brain health.
Cloves contain Eugenol and are high in antioxidants. They may help protect against cancer, can kill bacteria, improve liver health, regulate blood sugar, promote bone health and reduce stomach ulcers.
Using local honey is important when making your own elderberry syrup because it will have the allergens native to the area you live in and therefore help with seasonal allergies.
