Meet Lourie, my new massage therapist and amazing teammate!! 💜💜

Lourie is a loving wife and mother of 4 children. I’ve known her most of my life and absolutely adore her. This woman is beautiful inside and out, very gifted at bodywork, and just as obsessed about learning as I am. There are no words for how thrilled I am to have her on my team... I honestly don’t know how I ever did this job without her!

Lourie has been a massage therapist for over 20 years and is currently training with me to learn the techniques and modalities I’ve studied for many years. She is picking things up quickly and incorporates cupping, hot stones and red light therapy into her sessions. Lourie can also operate the sauna and the BallancerPro for anyone who is interested in those services. I’m already getting great feedback from clients who love her!

What is it like to experience a lymphatic drainage session in the BallancerPro? 🙂 When preparing for the treatment, you'll be assisted in putting on either the BallancerPro pants or jacket, depending on the area to be targeted. These garments are connected to a computerized air-compression device that is specifically programmed to apply the perfect amount of pressure. It utilizes 24 individual air chambers that overlap each other.

Once the session begins, you'll experience a gradual and gentle inflation of the garment, which creates a soothing and continuous massage across the entire treated area. This process aims to provide a relaxing, enjoyable, and comforting sensation. Cupping! 🧡 This is one of my favorite tools in bodywork. In addition to the typical pushing/kneading in massage, we can use these to create a vacuum to release toxins and stretch muscles and fascia. This is a really unique experience and can feel like an incredible relief since it also loosens areas around pinched nerves. There are many different kinds of cups and different professions who use them. For this situation it could be thought of as “negative pressure massage”. I request cupping when receiving massages too and always feel so much better when it’s incorporated in a session. Love them!! 🤍🤍
