I am human before I am a therapist! I have done the work and now I get to sit with others and create consistent safe spaces to heal. Lean into the hard, as a woman I encourage other women to find your anger and listen to what it is telling you.

Check out this great opportunity! Coming up!!

Hey y’all! I’m running a Child-Parent Relationship Therapy group next month. This is ideal for humans who have children aged 3-7 years old, who have two hours a week to meet virtually with the group, 30 minutes a week to have “special play time” with their child, and who are desiring to learn parenting skills to help connect with their child. I’ve seen amazing things happen with parents and kids through this curriculum!

If the group setting feels overwhelming there are options to do individual family work too! If you have any questions or referrals please reach out.

‼️‼️‼️
🟣Be Honest: Instead of disappearing without explanation, try to be honest about your feelings or intentions. Communicate openly and respectfully, even if it may be difficult.

🟣Set Boundaries: If you need space or time to think, let the other person know. Setting clear boundaries can help manage expectations and avoid misunderstandings.

🟣Practice Empathy: Put yourself in the other person’s shoes and consider how you would feel if you were in their position. Treat others with kindness and respect, even if you no longer wish to pursue a relationship or friendship.

🟣Communicate Early: If you sense that a connection is not working out, it’s better to communicate your feelings early on rather than prolonging the situation. This allows both parties to move on and find more compatible connections.

❤️Remember, open and honest communication is key to maintaining healthy relationships and avoiding unnecessary hurt.

Ghosting is out! ‼️

🟣Lack of Communication: Both ghosting and avoidance involve a lack of communication. In both cases, there is a failure to express one’s feelings, thoughts, or intentions.

🟣Emotional Impact: Ghosting and avoidance can have a similar emotional impact on the person being ignored or avoided. Both actions can lead to feelings of confusion, rejection, and hurt.

🟣Avoiding Confrontation: Ghosting and avoidance are often driven by a desire to avoid confrontation or difficult conversations. Both actions allow individuals to sidestep potentially uncomfortable situations.

🔵Shame Development: Shame often develops as a result of traumatic experiences due to the negative beliefs and self-perceptions that can arise from these events.

🔵Individuals may blame themselves for the trauma, feeling a deep sense of guilt or responsibility. They may also internalize societal stigma or judgment, leading to feelings of inadequacy, worthlessness, or a belief that they are somehow “damaged” or “broken.”

🔵Shame can be particularly insidious, as it can further isolate individuals and prevent them from seeking support or healing.

❤️‍🩹 It’s important to note that everyone’s experience with trauma and shame is unique, and the impact can vary greatly from person to person. If you or someone you know is struggling with trauma or shame, it’s recommended to seek professional help from a therapist or counselor who specializes in trauma-informed care.

🔵Trauma Impact: Traumatic experiences can have profound effects on individuals, both psychologically and emotionally.
🔵They can disrupt one’s sense of safety, trust, and well-being, leading to a range of symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and avoidance of reminders.
🔵Trauma can also impact one’s ability to form and maintain healthy relationships, as well as affect their self-esteem and overall functioning.

WE ALL deal with trauma in different ways. Shame does a sneaky thing to make us feel bad about ourselves at times! Shame lives in dark places and shadow work or parts work can be good for this! ❤️

Is it sweat or tears… maybe both! ✨

What a year…

I had the privilege to sit with thousands of clients. A career I will never take lightly. Stretched and learned so much. Mistakes were made, but that’s okay! I get to try again next time!
2024 is going to be a great year. ⚡️

I did an inner child meditation while in the sauna, I highly recommend both! 🖤
What are you doing to honor yourself right now, how are you setting boundaries for you?!
Intentions are set! Bring it on New Year! 💫
