What an exciting year this has been! Starting a small Perinatal Co-Op, The Tea House Therapy & Wellness, has allowed me to work alongside fellow Perinatal Mental Health specialists in our sweet and cozy little space downtown Lee's Summit.

I'm in network with BCBS, Anthem, United/Optum and have some availability to accept new clients. If I'm not in your insurance network, I would love to connect you with another Perinatal Therapist at The Tea House Therapy & Wellness that does!

Ramping up for the KC Climb Out of Darkness! Can you make a small donation to support and advocate normalization and access to care for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders?

Survivors and family members of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are invited to come walk with us and to contribute any donations to help honor the efforts to bring awareness and support for parents struggling with PMADs.

Did you know that as a part of Mental Wellness Fridays, we’re starting a fathers group specifically for Black & Brown dads?

The first meeting is this Friday 4-6 at Uzazi Village so tell a dad in your life to come through!

Our doors are open for anyone who may want to process or ask questions about postpartum mental illness. If you notice your friends or family members are struggling, or you yourself are just feeling "not like yourself" you will be met with support and understanding in how to navigate some really hard, sometimes scary things. So much can happen in the first year postpartum and unfortunately untreated perinatal mental illness is still widely misunderstood. There are so many amazing supportive clinicians and resources all over the KC metro, as well as nationally and we will happily connect you.

MMHKC is outraged by the decision today to overturn Roe v Wade. This is a safe space to process how this collectively affects the birthing people in our nation, and how this may be impacting you individually. Forced birth is not safe physically, mentally or emotionally and we stand by that position regardless of the Supreme court ruling. The overturn still allows for the states to make decisions, and unfortunately Missouri is also turning back the hands of time. We will continue to fight for the rights to safely make decisions for our own bodies. In the meantime, we see you and are holding space for all of it.
