Golf season is underway at John Knox Village! ⛳️

Whether you’re an experienced golfer or just thinking about picking up a club, our men’s and women’s leagues offer a welcoming way to get out on the course, stay active and connect with others. Weekly league play, informal play options and social gatherings make it easy to get involved at your own pace.

With organized play continuing through the season (weather permitting), there are plenty of opportunities to join in and enjoy time on the greens.

At John Knox Village, caring for our environment is part of how we care for our community.

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the many ways sustainability touches everyday life across the Village — from how we manage food waste to how we recycle and care for our green spaces.

Through our partnership with KC Can Compost, residents and dining services work together to turn food scraps into something meaningful. Our recycling program continues to grow, helping divert thousands of pounds of materials — including nearly 24,000 pounds of glass — from landfills.

Behind the scenes, thoughtful choices like energy-efficient lighting, solar arrays, water-conscious building design and the use of native plants all help reduce our environmental impact.
It’s a shared effort that reflects the values of our residents and team members alike.

Because here, small, intentional actions add up — supporting a healthier community today and for generations to come. 🌱

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month: a time to recognize the strength, resilience, and community of those living with Parkinson’s.

Through Parkinson’s Connection by John Knox Village, members are rediscovering movement, confidence, and a renewed sense of independence.

Residents have access to a wide range of Parkinson’s-friendly offerings, including balance and yoga classes, water fitness, personal training, and even activities like bowling, ping pong, and a 9-hole golf course.

It’s all part of what makes our community a place to keep moving forward.
