Today we made beautiful centerpieces for our dining rooms—just like at home. If we have centerpieces at home, why not bring that same feeling to Silverado?
A dementia diagnosis doesn’t mean life is over. It means life looks different, and it can still be filled with purpose, creativity, and meaningful moments through normalization.

Today, our Service Club had the honor of delivering cruiser kits to the Lee's Summit Missouri Police Department in celebration of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week. 💙 Our residents loved putting these together as a small token of appreciation for the officers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Thank you for all that you do—we are truly grateful🚓🫶🏼

This outing was absolutely a sweet success😋
We visited a local bakery/tea shop/boutique-all in 1 stop! We had the most delicious cups of hot chocolate & freshly brewed hot tea from SereniTea Boutique☕️
Our Taste Testing Club tasted a variety of holiday treats, along with the best tasting grasshopper pie from The Paperback Bakery 🥧
They also had some of the cutest/funny home decor signs and we of course had to snap a picture🙂

The last week of 2025 here at Silverado Lee’s Summit has been a busy one! We had our first Winter Kids Camp where the kids and residents had fun making s’mores, edible slime, got a little competitive with some balloon volleyball, played Winter Minute to Win It games, & watched The Polar Express with a hot chocolate bar ☕️
Then of course we celebrated the new year! 🎊
We hope everyone has a great 2026 with many blessings to come 🫶🏼💙

Holiday cheer was on tap today! 🎅🍻 Our residents had a fantastic time visiting the Christmas pop-up at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza & Taproom The festive decorations, fun atmosphere, and great company made this outing one to remember. We’re keeping Christmas alive for as long as we can! 💚🎄❤️

“Marcia has went above and initiated doing weekly inventory, and reporting to Admin what is needed in the housekeeping department. She also has taken the responsibility of training and acclimating a new team member to the housekeeper team. She also signed up to work all the major holidays to ensure the housekeeping team is fully supported, we are so thankful to have Marcia here to keep our Community looking beautiful”
Marcia has been a housekeeper at Silverado since April 2025. She enjoys working here because she likes hanging out with residents and having fun with the staff. Outside of work, she likes to go to church✝️, hang out with her husband & watch scary movies.

What a wonderful night celebrating the season together!🎄✨ Our Family Christmas Dinner brought residents, families, and staff together for an amazing meal and lots of holiday cheer. Santa even made a special appearance, putting smiles on everyone’s faces🎅🏽 Moments like these are what make our community feel like home 💚❤️
