Robert Frank once said, "When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice." I want people to look at my pictures and their breath be taken away. I studied photography at The University of Central Missouri and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Photography in 2010. My love of photography goes back to when I was a little girl always wanting to play with my parents' film camera. I always had a camera with me to capture all of the special moments growing up. I decided to pursue photography to be able to capture those same special moments but for others. A photograph is a way to capture a moment in time that would otherwise be missed or forgotten. As Aaron Siskind said, "Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever...it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." There are a lot of photographers out there taking pictures but I don't take pictures, I design them. When your parents tell you not to wish your life away and that life is too short and to cherish every moment....you should definitely believe them. Take their word seriously as they know what they are talking about.

I can't believe that my little monster is already 3! The time has definitely passed by so quickly even when you think the days are long. These last three years have come and gone.

One of the best things about being a photographer is capturing memories for family. It's such a special thing I get to do for my loved ones. It's even better when I get to be in some of the pictures!! These are Sydney Feliz and Ellis Feliz first family pictures with Baby Lucian. As well as our first family pictures with Nana Oni Niehaus-Van Meter and Papa Backhoe Tony VanMeter.
So glad that Deidre Lessard was here so we could get some memories captured with her too! It was an amazing weekend creating and capturing life's most amazing moments.

This cutie pie is 2!!! Every year her mama, Lisa Stauffer, throws her a book themed birthday party!! This year was the Grouchy Ladybug. Look how cute she is in her ladybug outfit!! I also found a new place to go explore called Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop & Farm Historic Site! It was the perfect place to capture these memories.
