Most of us have sat with a client and heard them share “I was listening to a podcast”, or “I read…” and then proceed to share an insight they got from that podcast or book. And as their therapist, you think “Yeah, I’ve said that lots of times!” But we don’t tell our client that because we know it doesn’t matter how they gained that insight, we are just glad they did! Perhaps this upcoming group for those struggling with addiction may be the place where your client has an “aha!” moment and your work with them can gain momentum.
