Yesterday I attended an incredible CEU event hosted by Body Balance Coalition and sponsored by Center for Discovery. Our speaker was L.B. and their presentation was powerful! They discussed our nervous systems responses and how we and our patients experience them within our bodies. L.B. then continued to discuss this application and approach in the treatment of eating disorders. I’m left with so much to reflect on and consider as I provide care for my patients. Thank you to everyone who made this talk possible!

This week I have the absolute privilege to turn 49! 🎂 Birthdays are a great time to reflect about how much growth has happened over the past year. I love reflecting on my family, my friendships, my community and my patients. Everyday provides an opportunity for growth & reflection if we give ourselves the space to do so. What’s been an area you’ve been reflecting on recently?

Made a quick stop today at the Open House in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. They’re celebrating the opening of their new residential treatment center in Kansas. This is the first and only residential treatment center program in our area and we’re glad they’re here!

Wonderful to see meal support for eating disorders, offered in a safe space for Fat Folks

I'm so pleased to announce a new offer to you all!

Starting Thursday, April 28th, RadLove Nutrition will be offering an ED Meal Support Group for Fat Folks on Thursdays at 1:00pm EST/10:00am PST.

The hope will be to help those who are looking to bridge the gap in their treatment services to have a place for meals to build community, peace and compassion.

Signs Ups will be opening up next week!

Spending my Sundays doing continuing education on Family Based Treatment thru This 5-week program is very thorough and informative. I want to learn as much as I can, so I can provide the best nutrition counseling to empower families to help their children struggling with an an eating disorder.

This type of treatment, FBT, is the first-line treatment for adolescents with anorexia nervosa (AN). In this type of treatment, the Dietitian is a member of the treatment team which also includes an eating disorders specialist Therapist.

I’m happy to be able to offer this type of treatment to my families & continue to grow my knowledge in it.
