Destiny found Paul Matlock when he was a child of ten years old and met an inspiring dentist in his hometown of St. Louis. He had been seeing him throughout his young life and found him to be a positive role model in his formative years.

It has been a pleasure to serve you and your families this past year here at Matlock Dental Care. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive of me joining the team, which is very much appreciated. I have enjoyed our conversations and time that we have spent together, and I thank you all for letting me be a part of your dental care. As of May 1, my wife and I will be relocating to the St. Louis area to continue our careers and be closer to family. I know you will continue to receive great care from one of my former colleagues, Dr. Jacob Holtzman, who will be taking my place at Matlock Dental Care. Thank you again for your trust and support and I wish you all the best in the future.

Matlock Dental Care is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jacob Holtzman to the practice. Dr. Holtzman will be taking over for Dr. Beau who is moving to St Louis to start his own practice. While we are sad to see Dr. Beau leave, we know he is going to do very well in his new practice and it has been our privilege to have him as part of the team.

Dr. Holtzman has been practicing dentistry since 2018. He graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry with his DDS, and also Missouri State University where he obtained his Bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology. He has been practicing as an associate with offices in Blue Springs and Belton. He is a former colleague of Dr. Beau when they practiced together in Blue Springs. Dr. Holtzman understands that patients can have many concerns about dental treatment and strives to create a calming and pleasant experience at each and every visit. Dr. Holtzman values building relationships and listening to patients that will, in turn, help create a comprehensive treatment approach to fit their individual needs.

Dr. Holtzman is a native of St. Louis, but has decided to make Kansas City his home. His wife, Haley, is from KC and they are expecting their first child in August. In their free time Dr. Holtzman and his wife enjoy spending time with friends and family, walking their dog Riggins, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals (Dr. Matlock’s favorite team!!)

Matlock Dental Care is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Beau Butzirus to our team. Dr. Beau, having been in private practice for two years prior to joining us, is a talented clinician who values the relationship with his patients. He believes in treating everyone like family and offering treatment that is focused on the best interests of the patient and discussing options thoroughly.

Dr. Beau is a native of Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dentistry. On a personal note, he will be getting married in October of this year. He is an avid outdoorsman who, when not in the office, prefers to be outside with his two dogs. Most importantly, like Dr. Matlock, he is a huge St Louis Cardinals fan!

Dr. Beau will begin seeing patients in May. Office hours will now be extended Monday-Friday to better serve our patients. It is our honor and privilege to welcome him to our clinical team.

One year ago, everyone’s lives were changed forever. Like many others our office had big plans for 2020 only to get derailed and operate under the "New Normal”. As we inch closer to the end of the pandemic, we are once again beginning to plan for the future. We continually strive to focus on our patients’ needs moving forward, and it is important to us to know your opinions.
