This spooktacular event is back by popular demand! Preferred Pediatrics is honored to present, and The Chamber Young Professionals are excited to host the Chamber's annual Trunk or Treat event this Thursday Oct. 30, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. in downtown Lee's Summit in front of the Chamber Depot.
Families can enjoy food truck food, a photo booth, free candy from local businesses, popcorn, crafts and hot chocolate. Plus, follow the trail through William B. Howard Station Park to find even more sweet treats and ghoulish costumes along the way.
This is a free community event.

5 Tips to Prepare for an Office Visit

Fill out and update patient forms beforehand to speed check-in.
Bring medical records, current meds, dosages, and your insurance cards.
Arrive ~15 minutes early, especially if you’re a new patient.
If your child is ill, call ahead—some urgent care slots are walk-in and others require notice.
Know what the visit is for (well child check, immunizations, follow-up) so you use time wisely.

Tips for Parents & Guardians

Keep your provider in the loop: Regular checkups, even when kids seem healthy, help us stay ahead of developmental, immunization, and growth concerns.

Know when to use telehealth: For mild symptoms (e.g. runny nose, mild sore throat, follow-ups), a telehealth visit may save you a trip.

Be ready for urgent issues: If something feels serious (difficulty breathing, high fever, severe pain, dehydration), go to urgent care or call 911 — don’t wait.
