Good morning and happy Friday. I would like to bring to your attention the recent increase in Influenza B cases at our office. We have preventive vaccines available to protect against the flu, and we are prioritizing the most vulnerable individuals, including children under 2 and those with chronic asthma or conditions. Unfortunately, we do not have vaccines available for individuals over 65. This population is more susceptible due to their immune systems being less responsive. Furthermore, we recommend that pregnant or expectant mothers receive the flu vaccine based on their age and gestation, as well as the RSV vaccine (preferably non-mRNA based). Please continue to practice hand hygiene and airborne precautions.
