Join A Place To Be on April 19th for Vivid Echoes, an art show reception featuring the works of Jossi Cornejo!

Jossi is not only an incredibly talented artist, but also one of the kind-hearted souls who gives so much of herself to our community at A Place To Be. From supporting our social groups to showing up at events to creating meaningful artwork for our fundraisers, she brings creativity, compassion, and joy wherever she goes.

Now, she’s opening her heart in a new way, sharing her art publicly for the very first time, and choosing A Place To Be as part of that journey. This reception will be held in our Hall of Hope from 12-2pm, with a percentage of proceeds supporting A Place To Be!

“The Worst School Day Ever” is A Place To Be’s latest touring show, created in partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools. This show is being performed to 5th graders county-wide and deals with the anxieties and fears – but also the hope and possibility – that come with the transition to middle school. The show uses Loudoun County’s Social Emotional Learning curriculum to provide tools students can use to help them in this big life step. Here is a clip of the show’s opening number!
