Today my little one turned 14 months and I’m only just finally feeling like I’m back to pre-pregnancy “strength”.

It has been such a season of surrendering to the natural process of healing. What I’ve learned through this time is the best thing to do is exactly that - surrender to the natural process and pace of healing.

Culture dictates that we have to rush back to the gym or to our pre-pregnancy fitness routines.

I’m here to tell you it’s better to wait. Women’s bodies need time to fully heal and recover before jumping back into strenuous workout routines.

This time of healing isn’t just physical- it’s also mental, emotional, and yes - even spiritual.

Mama’s, if you are having negative thoughts pop up about your physical form while still in your first year or three of postpartum recovery, take a slow breath and send yourself a little loving kindness. There is plenty of time and you are beautiful just the way you are right now in this moment.

This feeling of ease will aid in your recovery and let you find your glow again.

Share this with a mama who needs it 😘

This weekend holds so much emotion.

Joy.

Grief.

Gratitude.

Longing.

To all the mothers, to those missing their mothers,

to the women waiting, grieving, celebrating, or quietly

enduring—

I see you.

More importantly, God sees you.

If this day feels light, let your joy be full.

If it feels heavy, may you find gentleness and rest.

You are not alone in the ache.

You are not invisible in the joy.

You are held.

New Month, New Mercies

May always feels like a bridge.

One foot in spring, the other in summer.

One hand letting go, the other reaching forward.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on how much has changed—and how much hasn’t.

I’m still here.

Still learning.

Still growing.

But the way I move through it all feels different.

Softer.

More rooted.

If you’re standing in your own in-between, I just want to say:

God is still working.

There is space for your grief and your joy.

There is grace enough for today.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”
– Lamentations 3:22–23

God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave us spring. No matter your preferred season, spring is without a doubt the season that fills us with most hope as the long dark nights of winter fade and the days begin to lengthen, warming up both our bodies and our hearts.

When I think back over the course of the past five springs....
