Access to specialty care remains critical in the community we serve, and partners like 100WomenStrong of Loudoun County, Virginia, are helping us increase access to these crucial services. Last week, 100WomenStrong, a philanthropic network that fosters aid for local nonprofits, awarded Tonya Adkins, MD, CEO, and Taylor Smith, Director of Grants and Development, a $20,000 grant to support our eConsult program. The eConsult program provides uninsured patients with access to electronic consultations with medical specialists. By supporting this program, we can alleviate transportation costs, continue supporting individuals once they leave HealthWorks doors, and ensure patients are receiving the care they might otherwise go without.
We are incredibly honored to celebrate 100WomenStrong and their dedication to our community alongside several other nonprofits and grant recipients during last week’s award ceremony. We are deeply grateful to this community-driven partner for investing in our mission and helping us expand access to quality healthcare for our most vulnerable neighbors.
