Very unfortunate injury to one of the greatest players to play the game of basketball at a very high level. Many are arguing who’s at fault...the GM, the Coach, the team Doctors, or the Player himself!

I would have to say, everyone is collectively at fault. Players want to play, coaches and GM’s want to win, and doctors want to assist in treating the athlete with the best procedures to ensure an optimal display of performance.

With that said, I ALWAYS urge athletes to seek the expert opinion of an independent unaffiliated non-team physician to review their case, and render a non biased second opinion to help prevent an exacerbation of symptoms, or worse, a season or career ending injury by returning into action too prematurely.

I WILL NEVER COMPROMISE THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH OR SAFETY OF ANY ATHLETE OR PERSONS I TREAT! 🙌🏾 💯

In Arizona recently, the House Health and Human Services Committee approved three new bills related to vaccination.

1. House Bill 2470 expands vaccine exemption categories. This bill removes the requirement that parents sign a state health department form to get a vaccine exemption.

2. House Bill 2472 requires doctors to offer a blood test to parents that determines whether their child needs a vaccine or is already immune.

3. House Bill 2471 is an informed-consent bill. It would provide parents with information about vaccine ingredients and vaccine risks, including how to file a claim for a vaccine injury.

Rep. Nancy Barto, Chairman of the House Health and Human Services Committee, sponsored all three bills. She says that the three bills are about parental rights and freedom, and not judgment on whether vaccines are good or bad.

"We are here to acknowledge vaccines have a place, but it's every parent's individual right to decide the vaccine's place in the child's life," Barto told committee members."

Privileged to observe a hemilaminectomy: (surgical procedure where part of the lamina is removed to allow room for the lumbar nerve compressed by a damaged lumbar disc) followed by a microdiscectomy: (minimally invasive surgical procedure that removes portions of disc material that is pressing on a nerve root or spinal cord) at the L5/S1 disc level.
