ed in 2010 from New England Baptist Hospital, a Harvard Affiliate. Research was obtained from the National Institute of Health from 2003-2004. Dr. Akhtars clinical interest include joint replacement and general orthopedic treatment.

We want to thank all our patients for your patience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our office has remained open and we are continuing to schedule patients in both our Leesburg and Lansdowne locations. We are now able to schedule elective surgeries! Telemedicine and Audiovists are still available.

We are making strides to make sure our patients and their families remain protected during their visit. Each room is cleaned with disinfectant after each use. Waiting room is cleaned periodically during the day. As of today, May 7, 2020 we will now require anyone who enters our clinic to wear a mask. Patients are pre-screened prior to their appointments and temperatures are taken in the office.

We are taking every measure to ensure the safety of our patients. Please be aware we are screening patients before appointments and taking temperatures as well. Our surgery schedule has been cancelled for the next 2 weeks. At this point we plan to remain open. If you have a fever (100.4 or higher) with a cough or have had any exposure to COVID-19, we ask that you not come into the office.
Telemedicine is in the beginning stages and we will keep patients updated with more information and how to make appointments when available. If you are not registered with LMG patient portal, contact our office and we will set you up an account using your email.
