May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health is crucial for overall well-being because it impacts how we think, feel, and act, and how we cope with the stresses of life.

Breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health is essential for encouraging open conversations, seeking help, and fostering a more supportive environment.

Prioritizing mental health allows individuals to realize their potential, pursue their goals, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

This month is the perfect time to begin being intentional about prioritizing your mental health. Take a walk, spend time with friends and family, focus on the positive aspects of your life. If you need further assistance, reach out.

Life is full of challenges, storms, and obstacles. We have a choice when faced with trials. We can quit or we press on.

Interestingly enough, a friend of mine sent me the following wisdom recently along with the cool photo and it seemed appropriate to share:

Bison are the only animal that turn into a snowstorm, rather than away from it. They instinctively know that walking into the storm will get them out of the weather quicker. There may be a life lesson for humans in this. It also makes for some epic pictures.

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.
You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them. Just read it straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
Applause dies.
Awards tarnish ...
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
