As we close out National Nurses Week, we want to say THANK YOU to all of our nurses who give of themselves every day to our patients. Your compassion, dedication, and professionalism do not go unnoticed.

Our Director of Nursing was asked a series of questions about nursing, working in community health, and the overall message she would like to share.
She said, “The role of nurses is broad - they interpret, advocate, educate, and often notice the things others miss. In community health, nurses are a major part of prevention and access. You’re not only treating illness but helping people avoid it in the first place -through screenings, vaccinations, health education, and chronic disease management. You’re also working with patients who may face barriers like cost, transportation, or limited health literacy, so part of the job is meeting people where they are and helping them navigate a system that isn’t always easy or fair. Our role goes beyond medical care - we listen, educate, advocate, and walk alongside you through your health journey. Whether it’s answering questions, managing referrals, answering calls or helping you access the care you need, we are committed to making healthcare more understandable, accessible, and personal.”

Through mutual respect and patience, we all can work together for a healthier community.
