Paid summer internships through LSU AgCenter!!

In honor of Black History Month, we wanted to touch on the life of James Durham, Louisiana's trailblazer as the first African American to practice medicine. 🩺

Durham gained acclaim for his success in treating patients with diphtheria and other respiratory illnesses, demonstrating an advanced understanding of medicine. His treatments reportedly saved many lives, earning him recognition and respect in the medical community.
