Let me explain what I do to treat HIP BONE MISALIGNMENTS using osteopathic manual therapy techniques. Misalignments can cause PAIN throughout the body including the feet, knees, back, neck, headaches and shoulder pain. It changes our posture and the way we walk. That affects the body's ability to circulate blood and lymph. It can also affect nerve function to the organs and create digestive, circulatory and other dysfunctions. It often contributes to curvatures in the spine causing scoliosis.
We have the ILIUM BONES which connect at the lower front where the p***c bones meet a joint, the p***c symphysis. We have the sacrum connecting the ilium bones at the back. As you walk, the SACRUM moves forward left and right, back and forth. Imagine if this has slipped or twisted. Imagine if your ilium bone slips upward and your sacrum gets stuck in a twisted or side-bent position at the sacroiliac joint. This causes vertebrae to rotate, muscles to tighten, pain, pressure on organs and the head of your femur (thigh) bone may move so it is less engaged in the socket. Hip issues can lead to your pelvic floor muscles becoming too hypertonic (tight) which can contribute to bowel issues, organ prolapses, hemorrhoids and so forth as those organs get compacted rather than massaged with each breath day and night.
Often if your sacrum is misaligned, your 5th lumbar vertebrae is also "stuck" in rotation. Then with the vertebral and sacral misalignments your hips are not able to swivel properly as you walk. Sometimes the ilium bones tip forward or backward too much. Women often learn that they have a tipped uterus. Yes the position of your hip bones affect the position of your organs.
Imagine if one of your ilium bones has moved left or right too far which is called an inflare or outflare. Or what if your p***c bones are misaligned? When you press them or the joint between, do they feel tender? Sometimes one has slipped up, down, forward or backward or they are squeezing the joint too much.
I've only ever treated two people that did not have one or more bone misalignments in the hips, however both had received hip treatment within the prior two weeks - so virtually "everyone" who has not been treated has a misalignment. Please contact me to ask questions or to make an appointment!
I would love more clients. Would you refer your friends-in-pain to me? I treat so many bodily issues stemming from bone misalignments to poor organ function. Pain reduction or elimination and health are so worth the self-care. Thank you to anyone who shares my post.
