We love it when a group of young adults from Lehi stop by to make fleece blankets for those in need!

Thanks Lehi City for awarding us a PARC grant which allowed us to expand our classroom and have a place for people to volunteer and serve.

Thanks KSL news team for stopping by to do a story about Wrap the World with Quilts and our current quilt drive to send quilts to the community of Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Emma also interviewed one of our volunteers, Sherry Avellar, who has made nearly 700 quilts for us in the last 3 years! Amazing dedication to help others in need.

We have collected several hundred quilts for Michigan and our friends at Riley Blake Designs agreed to ship them for us… plus our crew got a tour of their new warehouse in Lehi, Utah. Thanks Cindy and crew for the help.

We will continue our quilt drive for Michigan through the end of October and will send them more quilts in early November.

If you are local you can watch us on KSL tv at 6:30 pm tonight…. or you can watch on their website after the broadcast on KSL tv.com.

It was a great four days hanging out at the Utah State Quilt Guild Quilt Fest event. We hosted a “it’s a scrappy world after all” charity sewing night and are grateful for those who sewed and even took extra quilt projects home to finish. We collected dozens of quilts!

We met new friends and connected with old friends and talked with so many quilt makers who are willing to jump on board and make quilts for us to donate to those in need. Many agreed to pull out their half done quilts and finish them and to dive into their fabric stash and make quilts.

A big thanks to our volunteer staff who supports this Charity.

A we appreciate all of the donations we received to keep our non-profit going.

Next week quilts are heading the community and congregation at the LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan and another few hundred are heading to an orphanage in Ukraine thanks to .

We love to see pictures of these Ukrainian children being creative and sewing on machines you helped us donate. We know the creative process can help traumatized kids and adults forget about the invasion of Russia into their homeland— even if it is just for a few hours. We can’t imagine what they are going through.

Did you know a donation of $300 buys a sewing machine and the basic sewing supplies needed in our sewing/rehab centers in Ukraine and Poland?

Thank you to the for keeping the sewing centers open.

Wow! We have had a crazy few days as quilts are “flooding” in for our Michigan community quilt drive and we literally had a FLOOD at our workshop!

Here are a few good things:

1. A storm drain clogged during a big rain storm. Two inches of water flooded in… no big deal.. our landlord, Civil Science Engineering, Civil Science in Lehi, UT got right on it, they called in an emergency flood team quickly. They saved their computer servers and we saved all the quilts. We ended up with just one soggy bookcase.

2. Our charity was put into a drawing at a community garage sale and we got picked to receive the proceeds. One of our longtime quilt makers and donors, Nancy Boyce, made that happen. Yay!

3. We received a wonderful shout out on the latest episode of Making Good on BYUtv. It was broadcast to millions of people! (We were also featured in season 5 of Making Good)

The episode was about another charity RODS Heroes. We gave them quilts to give to orphaned children in Armenia. Thanks Cosmic Pictures RODS Heroes BYUtv Making Good . It’s a powerful episode …

4. Quilts are coming in for our current drive to give quilts to the community of Grand Blanc, Michigan. We have received about 80 in less than a week! . We will send our first batch out next week, but we will continue to send quilts to the community as we get them. Deadline October 30.

5. We are packed and ready to set up a booth for the Utah State Quilt Guild’s Quilt Fest in Layton Utah—starts Wednesday. Come say hi if you are in Utah! Utah Quilt Guild

6. We are grateful for our amazing staff who willing to literally “walk through water” to support . They are the best.

Update on Quilt donations
for Grand Blanc, Michigan:

We are in the process of collecting quilts for the congregation and community traumatized by the shootings and devastating fire at an LDS church.

We are requesting quilts for children, teens and families. Quilts should be new, they can be tied or quilted, all sizes needed.

As soon as we collected the first 125 quilts they will be sent to our contact person in Grand Blanc who will distribute them to members of the congregation and the community.

We will continue to collect quilts through October. If you’d like to register your donation and send a note of encouragement please visit our website wraptheworldwithquilts.com

We also have an inexpensive way to ship your quilt donations through UPS and the GiveBackBox. You can ship up to 50 pounds for $20. Click on the link ⬆️ above or on our website. Pay for the label-which already has our address on it. Print off the label, put on a box and drop off at any UPS store.

Our mailing address is
