We took two car loads of quilts to the warehouse at Lifting Hands International. Even in the 90+ degree heat volunteers showed up and were packing humanitarian aid and your quilts to give to those in need.

We are working with them to fill another truckload of aid and quilts for Ukraine!

We are grateful for our charity partnership with Lifting Hands International … they have helped us distribute about 48,000 of our 58,000 quilt donations to displaced and distressed people in the world.

Our friends at are going on a humanitarian trip to serve displaced and desperate Ukrainians. And they will be taking a load of humanitarian aid with them in a few weeks.

Mindi and Win Packer will be also delivering some of our quilts.

They have been in contact with connections in Ukraine to see what specific things are currently needed.

And there were requests for women’s long nightgowns for the elderly. (similar to the picture above).

All sizes needed.

A lot of you have asked about sending quilts to the Kerr County Texas flood victims, we have checked with officials and the most needed thing right now is money.

A Kerr County Flood Relief fund has been set up and is administered as a public charity. Donations go to the relief and recovery efforts of nonprofits, first responders and local governments, not individuals.

We love being charity partners with and when we dropped off a load of your quilts today at their warehouse for distribution to California fire victims, they asked if we could ask our friends for help.

They are packing up another truckload of aid for the fire victims in Alta Dena, California. These people are in the lower income bracket and are still needing help with their basic needs.

They need more quilts/blankets, laundry detergent (liquid or powder) as well as air purifiers.

In other news, the war in Ukraine has escalated more people across the country face the imminent threat of violence, destruction and occupation.
They are in dire need of lifesaving aid, medical support, and shelter. Another container of aid for Ukraine is in the works.

They will comfort and a show a displaced person that someone cares for them and recognizes the trauma are going through.

We have the best volunteers… we have been super busy with events and shows the past few weeks… and this crew and a few others have jumped in and worked hard without complaint. They have covered for me after I broke both of my ankles in March and I am still in a boot! They have gone above and beyond.

Bread, Blankets and Bottles of water. The frontline villages in Ukraine were recently delivered these necessities by brave volunteers to the residents of Novohatske village.

Those volunteers in a recent post (translated from Ukraine) said

“Wrap the World With Quilts , passed warm blankets handmade, in which - not just threads, but love, kindness and human warmth… Special thanks to those who support to the residents who remain on the frontline of the humanitarian struggle.”

“Every day here to hear explosions, every night passes with a prayer about the morning. The front is getting closer, and life is becoming increasingly fragile. The light hasn’t been on for weeks. Drinking water and fresh bread have become a true luxury. They are waiting here like miracles.”

“Volunteers are the heart of our support”.

“In the most difficult times, they find their way to those who need help the most. Their daily work is not just a transfer of things, but a demonstration of genuine concern and warmth. Thank you for your dedication and tireless support to the residents of the frontline settlements.”

Lifting Hands international is our charity partner in the US who transports all the quilt and blanket donations to people in crisis… including the villages near the fighting in Ukraine. We are grateful for Lifting Hands International’s partnerships with organizations and volunteers in Ukraine who risk their lives to deliver the much needed humanitarian aid and our quilts to Ukrainians.

All set up and ready to roll at a service event in our town of Lehi, Utah! . Even before we were finished setting up, a group of kids in high school came and asked if they could start making blankets! And they got right to it! The event goes from 11-2 today at Holbrook Farms Park… lots of hands on service opportunities for families and kids.

Thanks and for the support from the PARC grant to help our community serve others displaced and/or in crisis by wrapping a quilt around them to give them comfort.
