We love getting pictures back from one of the sewing centers we helped establish in Ukraine.

With the support of Maria Nelga and the Ukrainian Quilters Association teachers are helping children sew, be creative and forget about the war for a few hours.

Here is part of a post made by the Ukrainian Quilters Association we’d like to share with you.

“And while the war goes on, and most of the time Ukrainians live without light, we continue to fight for ours—for that inner light that never goes off.”

“We sew together with children, create little miracles and share with you their joy and smiles.”

“There will be light. And we also make it with our hands.”
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Thank you to all who have donated money to buy sewing machines and supplies. These sewing centers do make a difference. If you’d like to donate, please see our links on instagram or visit our website wraptheworldwithquilts.com

What a great week of giving by the kids and youth in our hometown Lehi, Utah! .utah

About 40 members of the Compassion Club at Skyridge High hosted a blanket making session for club members… How great is it that they have a Compassion Club school!
They were a fun and productive group.

We also met with student leaders at Skyridge and are planning a blanket making session for the whole student body in 2026.

We had several church groups make fleece blankets this week… kids from age 3-18 joined in and dropped off over 50 blankets!

Kids from Willowcreek Middle School dropped off blankets they made to comfort others.

And students at the Elite Performance Prep Academy will be making and donating blankets over the next few days!

Way to go! We appreciate you all for service others! A big thanks to Lehi City for the funding we received through the PARC grant.

We love hearing that our quilts have been delivered and have made a difference to someone! If you're new here, we tag every quilt that gets sent out with a QR code and a note of comfort and love. We want the recipient of that quilt to know that we care about them and that we see them and that we want to comfort them in their time of need. The quiltmaker is notified when their quilts are sent, and if the recipient chooses to scan the QR code, they have the option to send the quiltmaker a note just like this one. The world could use a little more human connection! ❤️💪🏼

Christmas arrived a bit early this year for Ukrainian refugees and orphans living near Cherkasy, Ukraine thanks to our charity partners .

A few weeks ago they shipped off nearly 1000 pounds of humanitarian aid, Christmas gifts, clothing and some of your quilt and blanket donations to Ukraine.

“The children were beyond thrilled to receive the quilts,” said Mindie and Win Packer, founders of HopeXBorders.

We are grateful for their efforts to ship and distribute aid to Ukraine.

Here are some pictures of the kids with your quilts…. Do you see your quilt in the photos?

Over the weekend, one of our volunteers, Carol, invited us to sit at a table at a Gala fundraising event for To Ukraine with Love

This nonprofit, like us, started when Ukraine was invaded by Russia. Founded by Svitlana Miller, a native of Ukraine, this organization has an amazing team of board members and volunteers helping families in Ukraine.

It was our pleasure to rub shoulders with this amazing charity who provides balanced meals for over 6,000 Ukrainian refugees daily and they have built over 300 homes for Ukrainians who have lost their homes.

Thank you for an educational and eventful night. Our meal at the event was the same meal that is provided to refugees daily. And it was yummy!

One of the slides shown at the event states “If not us, then who?” That statement resonates with us and is really a powerful question. It is why we do what we do!

We had a few extra volunteers at the shop today help us load quilts, humanitarian aid and food for Jamaica. The shipment will go out on Friday thanks to our charity partners Lifting Hands International .

While we were dropping our donations at their warehouse we thought you’d like to see their board which lists all of the places they have made humanitarian deliveries to—just in 2025!

It is a pretty amazing operation. We are happy to have your quilts and blankets on almost all of those deliveries to displaced, distressed and desperate people.

While Wrap the World with Quilts handles most of the deliveries domestically in the US, we are so grateful for our partnership with Lifting Hands to deliver internationally.

Thanks for giving your beautiful quilts to others.

There once was a lady named Sherry

Who makes quilts for our little charity

She made 30 quilts pretty speedy

And thought she was done… we said “really?”

So she went back to her sewing machine pedal

And now gets a Quilting Gold Medal!

Because…

Sherry was made and donated over 700 quilts in a little over 3.5 years!!! That is beyond amazing.

Sherry and her husband Gil are dedicated to helping others. They also volunteer weekly at Wrap. Gil is our fix it man, quilt hauler, and furniture maker. Gil and Sherry also make weekly deliveries of quilts to our charity partner Lifting Hands International and make UPS and quilt pickups regularly.

They are the best people! We love them!

PS Sherry hugs each quilt she makes to send good vibes and love to the person who receives it.

Thank you all who contributed quilts to support the community of Grand Blanc, Michigan following the horrific shooting and fire at an LDS church.

The last load of quilts is shipping out today thanks to the help of who packed and shipped the quilts. Thanks Cindy Cloward and team.

A gathering is planned in Grand Blanc to give support and comfort to those affected by this traumatic event. First responders will also be attended. The quilts will be given out to “wrap” the community in the comfort and hope.
