First day post operative visit for ICL procedures for Dr. Mohamed…. 20/15 (better than 20/20). We are super excited for him. There is no higher compliment than being trusted by a fellow eye surgeon with their own eyes.

Dr. Mohamed, a newly trained eye surgeon, originally from Somalia, is getting ICLs today to correct his vision and allow him to see the world and his future patients without needing thick glasses. He is heading to the University of North Carolina next month to finish his training as a specialist in corneal transplants and cataract surgery. We are excited to help make his next phase of life even better! 🤩

Surgeon education! It takes a lot to train a competent surgeon. Dr. Waite taught the finer points of iris suturing to Dr. Enz from Switzerland at the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons this weekend in Los Angeles. It’s a great opportunity to get ophthalmic surgeons together from all over the nation and the world to share techniques and best methods with each other.
