Our Story

RUMA Aesthetics was founded by Shelby Miller, DNP, FNP-C. Shelby entered the world of plastic surgery and medical aesthetics by working with body and facial plastic surgeons. She provided pre- and post-operative nursing care while also circulating in the operating room assisting in procedures such as facelift, blepharoplasty, necklift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, fat transfer, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, etc.

Upon beginning her injection career, Shelby instantly developed a passion for facial aesthetics and rejuvenation. She continued to develop a fundamental respect for the deeper structures of the face while observing, assisting, and circulating in the operating room during numerous facial surgical procedures.

Since then, Shelby has attended numerous trainings, conferences, and seminars in order to improve her skills as an injector and provide the highest quality, safest, results for her clients. She began sharing her knowledge with others in 2018 and has since trained hundreds of medical professionals in over 20 states across the United States. Shelby is also a National trainer for the industry leading company Galderma.

After working at 3 different Medical Spas and visiting countless others, Shelby began to realize the need for a more personalized, specialized, approach to facial aesthetics. She had a vision for a high end, modern space where facial aesthetics is prioritized and where she could seamlessly integrate regenerative medicine with facial rejuvenation. She strategically made these visions come to life and began RUMA Aesthetics in October of 2018.
