How is it possible a year has gone by since I have been consulting? Our family has...grown since then.
I am currently in a season of feeding 3 teens (2 of which are trying to gain muscle mass), 2 tweens, and one very hungry 6 year old.
Our food bill now costs more than our mortgage. 😅
So, guess what I have done? I have collected a list of meals and side dishes to fit the following parameters:
1. Quick and easy prep
2. Budget friendly for a family
3. High protein
4. Delicious

The amazing Monica Packer invited me to address this very issue on her top-rated personal development podcast for women.

Not only was I so pleased with how this interview turned out, but this was a full-circle moment for me.
I have been listening to and learning from Monica for upwards of 5 years. When I was struggling to rediscover myself after 4 babies and 3 bouts of postpartum depression, Monica’s work became a tool for helping me to grow myself in ways I never expected. Her influence is a big reason why I have been brave enough to start this whole business venture in the first place. Maybe someday I will share the whole story of how our paths have crossed, but for now, I hope you will take a second to think about that person in your life who has no idea the impact they've made on you for good. Today would be a good day to thank them. 🩵

If I could go back to my 20's I would tell myself this:⁣.
Mindfully choose the voices you listen to.
The voices I listen to now as my late 30-year-old self are the opposite of the "Food Police" who would declare I was "good" or "bad" for eating certain foods.
Now I choose to listen to the voice that sees all food as neutral. I choose to listen to the voice that supports the process of allowing full permission to eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full.

Because there are so many more interesting things to talk about.
And, because I caught myself commenting on the size of someone's body yesterday in small talk.🤦🏼‍♀️ WHY is that so easy to do? Hey, look how much you have grown! Wow, you are getting taller than your sister! Look at your cute pregnant belly!
Wouldn't it make sense to just say: "It is so good to see you again!"
