BAYADA client Aspen finally made her way home after 322 days in the NICU. She is now reunited with her big sister and twin, who are both equally excited to have her home. Through every challenge, Aspen showed incredible strength and is ready to begin her next chapter outside the walls of the hospital.

We are grateful for all the BAYADA nurses—including Ashlee, Alyssa, Schonda, Katelyn, Stacey, and Nicole—who worked together to prepare Aspen and her family for this transition and to ensure she has the care she needs. We look forward to Aspen’s journey and to all the milestones and memories she will make at home, where she belongs. ❤️

After sustaining multiple traumatic injuries in a car accident and spending years on the couch, Joel discovered Brooks Adaptive Sports. At 72, Nancy has been legally blind since birth, but that’s never stopped her. Through Western Pennsylvania BOLD and Three Rivers Rowing Association, she found her passion for rowing.

Since 2012, she’s competed at the BAYADA Regatta, earning medals, friendships, and admiration from her team.
