Leicester EMS was invited to the annual Regional Public Health Day! We were happy to see so many vendors present to promote health awareness and resources available to our community. We demonstrated hands-on CPR to residents of all ages and introduced them to two of our most essential devices: the LUCAS Chest Compression System and LifePak15 Cardiac Monitor. These devices allow us to provide the highest quality of care during a cardiac arrest. Leicester EMS is hopeful to upgrade these devices to their current models to support not only the ever-changing advancements of emergency medicine but also our personnel's lifesaving capabilities. Leicester EMS Memorial Day Parade Message – 05/26/2025

Leicester EMS was honored to participate in the town’s tribute to our fallen heroes. Ambulances 2 and 3 proudly joined the Memorial Day Parade, representing our department with respect and gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Ambulance 1 remained available and ready at the Town Common, ensuring the continued safety and care of our community.

We honor the fallen by remembering their stories, by living with purpose, and by upholding the values they fought to protect. May their legacy inspire us to serve our communities, support our veterans, and never take for granted the freedom we enjoy.

Leicester EMS would like to take a moment to say Happy EMS Week! Per Governor Maura Healy's Proclamation, the United States has celebrated Emergency Medical Services personnel since 1974 under the authorization of President Gerald Ford. And what better way to kick off our May 18th-24th 2025 celebration than placing our New Ambulance 3 in service! We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication our crews bring to the Town of Leicester—their commitment to the community is truly immeasurable. Thank you and stay safe!

Currently, Leicester Fire & EMS Headquarters appears empty! Our Town of Leicester Fire Department Engine 3, Forestry, and our Ambulance 1 have responded to the Town of Charlton for a 2-Alarm Structure Fire. While simultaneously, the Town of Leicester responded to a medical with Ambulance 2 and Brush Fire with Forestry and Engine 1. Thank you to our surrounding mutual aid the Spencer Fire Dept. and Paxton Fire Dept. for giving us a helping hand! Stay safe everyone!

We hope everyone had a safe and happy Easter yesterday! Our crews were busy with multiple EMS calls, many of which came in simultaneously. Thank you to Holden Fire Department, Leicester EMS, and Wachusett Regional Emergency Communications Center for helping us get it all covered.

After a long three years, Leicester EMS is happy to announce the arrival of its New Ambulance! Thank you to our friends at Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for assisting us in speeding up the process! With the recent manufacturer trends, an ambulance and fire truck can take roughly 3-5 years to obtain! This process requires a lot of vendor communication to accommodate any future technologies, state mandates, and current apparatus statuses! We cannot wait to get this on the road to service our community!

Leicester EMS along with Town of Leicesterma Fire Engine 4 and the Leicester Police Department responded to the area of Marshall and Paxton Street for a two car motor vehicle accident with multiple occupants and unknown injuries. Leicester EMS responded with Ambulances 1, 2, and 3 and requested mutual aid assistance from the Paxton Fire Dept. for the potential of seven injured in the event. Luckily, all seven occupants were evaluated by EMS without the need for transport. We are thankful for the Paxton Fire Department's assistance during this incident. Please drive safe this Holiday Season.

Here are our Ambulance 1 and Ambulance 2 at UMASS University ER! Today there were three instances where Ambulance 1 and 2 transported to the hospital at the same time! We are happy to report everyone was able to receive the greatest emergency care thanks to our dedicated personnel and reliable ambulances.
