Herbert Ray Meredith, age 91, of Leitchfield, passed away, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, surrounded by his family at his residence.
He was born on March 11, 1935, in Grayson County, to the late Thurman and Betty Lou Cook Meredith. He was a former garbage man for the City of Leitchfield Sanitation Department and a part of the God’s Mission Church Family. He enjoyed fishing, c**n and fox hunting, horseback riding, old cars, four wheelers, gardening and flowers. Family was very important to Herbert; he loved to go watch his boys’ drag race and his grandchildren playing ball and participating in demolition derbies. In his later years, he loved it when his family came and visited him. He was a very caring man, who loved children and was always concerned about his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Meredith and Warren Meredith; two daughters, Freda Meredith and Charlene Miller; a grandson, Kris Meredith and several brothers and sisters.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 71 years, Adalene Davis Meredith; a daughter, Lisa Scarbrough (Eddie); a son, Ronnie Meredith (Bessie); seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a special great-grandson, Hunter and numerous other great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, May 22, 2026, at Watkins Funeral Home with Bro. Kennith “JR” Smiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wortham Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM, Thursday and after 9 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

Frances Louise Logsdon, age 78, of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin Elizabethtown.

She was born March 9, 1948, in Leitchfield to the late Roy and Margaret Justice Zachery. She was homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed thrifting, cars, being outdoors and working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Davy Ray Zachery; a daughter, Cassie Logsdon; two sisters, Sissy Zachery Jarboe and Brenda Sue Zachery; a brother, Roy Lee Zachery, Jr and a grandson, Chance Marquis.

Frances is survived by two sons, Daniel Logsdon and Brent Zachery; seven grandchildren, Bobby Zachery, Stephen Zachery, Sara Zachery, Kevin Zachery, Theodore “Teddy” Marquis, Cameron Lake and Lynnlea Clemons; eleven great-grandchildren and a special friend, Lisa Zachery.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM (CT), Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Watkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 10 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wilma Elaine Morris, age 88, of Leitchfield, formerly of Louisville, passed away, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at her residence.

She was born July 19, 1937, in Scottsburg, Indiana to the late John Baptist and Dorothy Mildred Geisendorff Taflinger. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. She was a former landscaper and loved being outdoors, working in her flowers and spending time at the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton Morris; her twin brother, William John Taflinger; brother, Francis Lee Taflinger and a sister, Helen Ruth Taflinger Axt.

Wilma is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Oberdier (Steve) and Meryl Carman (Jimmy Langley); four grandchildren, Tyler Waterman, Megan Tennant, Austin Carman and Haley Carman; a stepdaughter, Olivia Fuchs; a step-grandson, Drew Fuchs; two nieces, Donna Dobbins Stewart and Debbie Taflinger and five great-grandchildren.

Judith Ann Reece, age 85, of Leitchfield, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

She was born on July 12, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Leslie and Delores Willis McDonough. Judith was a very independent and hardworking lady who worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as crocheting and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Reece, Sr.; a son-in-law, Kevin Ashley and a stepson, James H. Reece, Jr.

Judith is survived by three daughters, Dawn Ashley, Sherri Dixon, and June Frank (Robert); two stepchildren, Laney Reece and Denise Disney; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM (CT) on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Watkins Funeral Home, with a celebration of life beginning at 7:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM (CT) on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Leitchfield.

David Thomas Logsdon, Sr. age 61, of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on December 16, 1964, in Grayson County to the late Leonard Logsdon and Lillie Williams. He was the owner of L &L Contractors. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

David is survived by his wife, Patricia Gipson Logsdon; a son, David T. Logsdon, Jr.; a daughter, Jessica Lafollette (Wesley); a stepson, Scotty Hack (Tobie); two stepdaughters, Kassie Decker (Jonathan) and Karrie Rand (Jr.); two brothers, Jason Logsdon and Chris Logsdon (Jessica); two sisters, Mary Anne Hack (Roger) and Jackie Decker (Glendal); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and his dog, Gandolf.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Timmy Howard Vincent, age 65, of Bee Spring, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.

He was born September 16, 1960, in Brownsville, to the late Beverly Ezra Vincent and Altie Vincent. Timmy was a former road paver for Scotty’s and Kenway Contracting. He was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church and enjoyed trapping and riding his Harleys.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Mary McGrew Vincent; two sons, Adam Vincent and Brian Carroll; four daughters, Amy Ontiveros, Heather Nunn, Kaylee Vincent and Keri Vincent and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Watkins Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Doris Katherine Goldsmith, age 93, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Grayson Manor.

She was born September 22, 1932, in Bronx, New York to the late John Moore and Katherine Olga Haase Moore.

Doris is survived by her devoted son, David Goldsmith and loving daughter-in-law, Norma of Caneyville; her daughter, Karen Goldsmith (James) of Charlotte, N.C.; and best friends, Donna Soro and Dottie Schwartz; nieces and nephews, Vincent Moore, Frank Moore, Danielle Moore, Michelle Moore, David Moore, Patrick Moore, Karen Martz, and there might be more.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, John Moore.

After graduating high school in the Bronx, she met her husband, Richard, of 20 years and had two children. She worked in banking and gained an advertising executive position in New York. Doris loved to travel having been overseas a few times. After retiring she moved several times and finally settled down in Caneyville, Ky. She was a very loyal and supportive woman, a great listener and teacher of humanity. She loved tennis, ballet, theater, singing and driving her car. She volunteered at the food banks and the library when she lived in Charleston, S.C.. During her life in Charlotte, N.C. she was an active member of Sweet Adelines Chorus and volunteered at the Levine-Sklut Library. In Caneyville she loved living on the farm with her cat, Callie, until her peaceful passing at the age of 93. God bless.
