Join us for ā€œfirst looksā€ of 5 different hoarding situations.
When we first started this business, these scenes were nearly overwhelming.
We had only seen severe hoarding and squalor on TV. Never in person.
But the past 2.5 years has taught us just how common hoarding situations like these are. And that it could happen to anyone, given the right (or wrong) set of circumstances.
Itā€™s still a lot, walking into jobs like this.
We can always feel the weight of the mess bearing down on families.
But knowing we are able to help ease the burden makes it less of a daunting task and more of a fulfilling one.

We were happy to spend a week helping to clean up a hoarding situation.
And this bedroom alone took a full day to clean out.
Sometimes, ā€œstuffā€ gets overwhelming for us. And we are childless, able-bodied humans.
I canā€™t imagine how hard it must be for people with circumstances much more difficult than ours to ā€œkeep it together.ā€
Anyway, I wanted to share the ā€œuncutā€ cleanup to give you an idea of how much there really is to remove in some of these hoarding situations.
Iā€™ve obviously sped it up. But watching it is still exhaustingly satisfying.

We helped get all of the hoarded food & junk out of this kitchen. Now, itā€™s ready for a deep clean!

Sometimes, this is what illness looks like.
Itā€™s what pain looks like.
Grief, loneliness, depression, anxiety, Alzheimerā€™s, Parkinsonā€™s, dementia, alcoholism, drug addiction, strokeā€¦
And we know this not just from research, but from personal experience.
Just a reminder this Monday that we all have struggles, and we all need a little help sometimes.
