Out walking recently and thought about the wisdom of fences. It’s a normal thing to see fences in rural areas, and it is understood that they represent keeping areas that are yours set apart for your own use. It is a quiet message of ownership.
Areas of ownership can extend beyond the physical property to our time, resources and energy as well. As caregivers, it may feel hard to create and/or re-create those boundary lines in our professional and personal life. Personally, this has been a struggle, and It may be ongoing as life’s seasons change.
