Some times in this industry we are able to help a person who had to under go a more invasive journey - This client essentially had a forehead flap reconstruction , surgery post skin cancer removal . In procedures like these the skin from the forehead is often cut and relocated to the nose where the skin cancer had previously been removed. But the healthy scalp skin that’s been relocated does not stop growing hair upon relocation- so we are able to help the client by permanently removing the hair off this skin to make it look natural for the nasal area. Electrolysis can be for vanity purposes and definitely has a place for that - but also very often electrolysis is helping clients with doctors who refer them to licensed electrologists for much larger more complex situations. Im thankful this client trusted me to help make her hair removal journey successful 🥰

Serosanguineous is a term for the fluid that drains from an injury wether it be tiny such as an ingrown hair or a larger injury such as a child falling off a bike and scraping their knees. This fluid contains both red blood and the clear/yellowish colored Serous fluid. This is the skins natural way of protecting and healing itself! Even with skin’s ability to heal itself we still make sure to always use sterile tools and single use disposable probes and properly cleanse the skin pre & post treatment - whenever we have to remove an ingrown and dig or lift at the epidermis and dermis to release that stuck hair (often times with a lancet for easier extraction ) it’s always nice to see healthy skin do its own thing to help promote fast healing too!

FDA reaffirms Electrology is the ONLY form of permanent hair removal !!!! As professionals we know this is true but with the constant push for laser to also be deemed a form of permanent removal (psst…I’ll tell you a secret …it’s not) the FDA took a deeper dive into both hair removal professionals and results. And The thing we all knew happened …FDA CLEARED AND APPROVER ONLY ELECTROLOGY TO BE TERMED PERMANENT!!!! Electrology’s ability over the years to prove its tried and true methods for permanent results comes out on top everytime ! Welcome to the winners circle to all my peers in this industry ! Please note we aren’t anti laser !!! Laser is great for what it’s intended to do- offer a permanent REDUCTION of growth - not all other removal- and that’s ok-!!! There is still a huge need for laser but this is a win for our industry so now laser professionals can’t falsely market with terms only cleared to be used for Electrology - but we can all work together in both professions and in harmony to help the individual client get hairless! For large areas of unwanted hair - begin with a permanent reduction of the hair with laser then finish with a permanent removal via Electrology and get the soft as silk skin you dream of !!!!!
