This New Moon we have coming on January 18th is supported by a rare astrology pattern called a Cradle and it changes how we’re meant to work with this energy.
A Cradle forms when points of tension in the sky are held by supportive aspects. Instead of the energy building toward stress or urgency, it’s stabilized and balanced. Think of it less like being pushed forward, and more like being supported as you expand.
Because of this, this New Moon isn’t about forcing change or setting big, pressure-filled goals. The Cradle responds best to intentions that are sustainable, embodied, and supportive.
Think of it like a basket to hold your intentions you’re setting. If you fill it with too much weight, it’s hard and awkward to carry. Or you fill it so much that the handle breaks. The intentions that we set under this New Moon are meant to be sustainable. Not overwhelming.
This is a powerful time to ask:
What kind of growth can I realistically sustain?
What structures help me feel safe, supported, and nourished?
Where can I soften control and trust my intuition more deeply?
When we work with a Cradle pattern, we’re invited to slow down just enough to let things land. The energy is available but it meets us where we’re regulated, grounded, and honest with ourselves.
If you’ve been feeling called to stop pushing and start listening, this New Moon supports that shift. Let your intentions be something that holds you, not something you have to chase.
In the next post, I’ll be sharing a card spread inspired by this New Moon to help you tune into what’s ready to grow and how it wants to be supported. 🔥✨
