We are getting into the valentines craft spirit! Yesterday we made bird feeders on national feed the birds day, and today we made 3D chalk hearts. Spending time reminiscing and staying busy with our hands is a great way to spend the afternoon.

One of our amazing CNAs spent time visiting with a resident, flipping through a book 📖 and sharing stories about cows 🐄 and ranch life. Conversations like these spark memories, build connection, and bring comfort in the simplest ways ✨

It’s not just about care — it’s about relationships, listening, and honoring the lives our residents have lived 🤍 We are so grateful for staff who take the time to make every moment meaningful 🌾🐄

Yesterday we were lucky enough to enjoy the One Act Play with their performance of Marjorie Daw. Thank you Lemmon High School students we enjoyed it, and you did great!! Good Luck at your competition in Timber Lake tomorrow, we are cheering for you!

Under the leadership of Beth Herin, Activities Director, and with the dedication and creativity of Lea Kling, Activities Aide, this team brings so much more than just activities to our residents’ days—they bring joy, purpose, creativity, and connection for both our residents and staff.

From one-on-one visits and meaningful conversations to group events, holiday celebrations, and community involvement, Beth and Lea go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels engaged, valued, and supported. And while you may not always see Beth in the photos, that’s because she is usually the one behind the camera, capturing the special moments, smiles, and memories that mean so much to our residents, staff, families, and community. 📸

January is Soup Month. Today we made homemade noodles and enjoyed them for dinner. Big thank you to our Dietary Manager Cathy! We all had a wonderful time, and the soup was delicious!

🛠️ Maintenance Day – Jason Sims Appreciation Post 🛠️

Maintenance Day was officially January 18, 2026, but we chose to wait so we could recognize Jason Sims and give him a day all to himself.

Jason may not be front and center in every photo, but if you look closely, he’s always there—in the background, behind the scenes, and part of nearly every resident and facility event. From dressing up as Santa 🎅, to building furniture, to being present at Easter egg hunts 🐣, Halloween trick-or-treating 🎃, and s’mores on the deck 🔥, Jason consistently shows up.

Jason is amazing with our residents, bringing laughter, kindness, and genuine connection every day. He also brings that same positive energy to our staff, making Five Counties a better place to work and live.

We are incredibly lucky to have Jason as part of our Five Counties family. Thank you, Jason, for everything you do—your dedication does not go unnoticed. 💙
