Celebrating life and serving with Joy ✨💙

Our team, all with a milestone anniversary, gathered for lunch to celebrate the years they have been with our community. From 5 to 35 years with the Ministry, our team is truly the best of the best.

Who knew you can use a whisk for more than just cake?? 🤨✨🎂

Jazmin and Kevin, helped our Franciscan Village Independent Living residents make a dragonfly whisk! This craft included: one whisk, beads, pipe cleaners and some patience.

Presenter: Todd Hunt, Nostalgic Humorist and Lucille Ball Historian

Journey back to the golden age of television, with slides, audio and video clips to reveal how this classic was created. Discover how it grew out of Lucy’s radio program, “My Favorite Husband.”

Trace the arrival of Desi Arnaz from Cuba with no money and his rise to the head of Desilu Productions. Delve into the life stories of Lucy, Desi and cast members Vivian Vance and William Frawley. Remember the candy factory? Stomping grapes? Vitameatavegamin?

We covered our Daily Chronicle and we talked about different types of potato dishes! Look at them trying some potato Smiles! Jazmin also told them all about how pizza now come in all shapes and sizes (Pizza Rolls are not pictured, but they loved them). How fun!!

Today our very talented staff all cooked a few dishes from their culture, and shared them with fellow staff members!! Our staff had a great time trying new food and learning about all the cultures that combine to make Franciscan Village who we are!!

From desserts, to appetizers, meals and more we had a great time sharing our culture with each other 💙
