Today about 80% of Western births happen flat on the back, often working against gravity.

But position can change pelvic space, comfort, and how labour progresses.
Birth was never designed to be one position.

When I was pregnant—before I ever became a doula my mom was already being one to me, even if she didn’t know it. She kept me calm, reassure me, affirmations, gave me massages, and supported me in ways that have stayed with me forever.

Now, oftentimes my daughter likes to help me too. I love when she asks me questions it means so much to see her curiosity and the care she already shows.
