Shannon Moyer, LMFT

Shannon is a Marriage and Family therapist who specializes in working with women, children, couples and families. She has always worked with people in a helping capacity not only in the counseling field but also working with children in a psychiatric hospital, working with children and volunteers in the non-profit sector and being a former x-ray technologist. Shannon has a passion to help clients experience wholeness and truth that Christ has for them, while they overcome personal obstacles. It is her desire to assist clients in realizing their potential while dealing with the hurts of the past. She considers it a privilege to work with children, adults, individuals and couples, who are dealing with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, trauma, past wounds, marital struggles and peer relationships. Shannon’s approach utilizes her clinical background, focusing on emotional attachment and experiential techniques, while also integrating a variety of approaches including prayer, cognitive behavioral and experiential techniques. She is happy to incorporate faith-based practices into sessions as requested by the client. Shannon is a licensed marriage and family therapist, and also has a focus on play therapy, working with kids ages 4 to 10.
